Shipping

If you've been lost in a forest or stuck in a cave for your entire life and don't know what shipping is (that's the only explanation) than you should pay attention:

Shipping is short for relationships, meaning that when you pair up two characters you try to determine how possible it is that they end up together. To help you with this, there are the names of both characters and the name conjoined along with a possibility rating and information about how much their relationship has progressed.

Katara & Aang

Name: Kataang
Possibility: 5/5
Info: Everybody knows how much Aang likes Katara, but does Katara feel the same way? Probably so since she let Aang kiss her on the lips before starting the invasion. They kissed several times close to the end of the series. The show actually ended with them kissing.

Katara & Zuko

Name: Zutara
Possibility: 2/5
Info: Katara tried healing Zuko's scar, but, before she could finish, he betrayed her and Aang (not to mention practically everybody else) and brought down Ba Sing Se with his sister, Azula. Afterwards, he decided he was wrong and joined the gang, but Katara has not yet forgiven him and threatened to "end his destiny" (kill him) if he so much as touched Aang.

Jin & Zuko

Name: Jinko
Possibility: 1/5
Info: During Zuko's confused stay in Ba Sing Se, Jin was the prominent lady in his life. Their memorable dinner date, where Zuko lights candles in a romantic city fountain, is topped off with a nervous kiss. Zuko hastily breaks away, however, too confused and lost for a relationship. When he returns back to his Uncle's tea shop, however, Zuko actually smiles as he tells his uncle, "I had fun." This relationship is very unlikely to develop, as Zuko helped the fire nation to bring Ba Sing Se to the ground.

Sokka & Suki

Name: Sukka
Possibility: 5/5
Info: Perhaps the most likely relationship in the show, Sokka and Suki seem to be made for each other. Meeting several times on Kyoshi Island, the two also shared a kiss on The Serpent's Pass. The first time they met, Suki taught Sokka the ways of a Kyoshi Warrior and the couple fought alongside each other when Zuko raided the small fishing village and burned the houses to the ground. Later, when Sokka, Toph, and Aang broke into the Fire Lord's mountain retreat, Sokka displayed a surprising display of emotion for Suki when Azula sadistically commented on Suki's frail state. At the end of the series, these two have been very close and the relationship is definite.

Mai & Zuko

Name: Maiko
Possibility: 3/5
Info: These two were often seen snuggled close together during the beginning of Season Three. The couple liked each other even as kids, although Zuko often grows snappy at Mai due to her apparent lack of emotion. Now that Zuko has joined Aang and the rest of the team, is there hope for this relationship?

Haru & Katara

Name: Karu
Possibility: 2/5
Info: In the episode, "Imprisoned," Katara and Haru grew very close; Katara even helped Haru and his father, a long with many other Earthbenders, escape from a Fire Nation prison. Now, though, Haru seems almost too distant for Katara after all the hardships and challenges she has endured without him.

Sokka & Yue

Name: Yuokka
Possibility: 3/5
Info: Probably the most likely shipping. That is until Zhao killed the koi fish that was the moon spirit and Yue sacrificed herself to be the new one. There are parts throughout the second and third seasons that suggest Sokka still has deep feelings for the lost princess. Hey, in the avatar world anything is possible!
